Acceptance of these terms
You signify your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions by signing the back of the card, or by activating or using the card.
Activation
Virtual Cards can be activated by clicking the ‘Activate Now’ tab in the second email you received when the Virtual Card was sent to you.
Expiry and cancellation
The expiry date is shown on the front of the card or in the case of Virtual Cards, within the Card Details email. After its expiry, or cancellation for non-activation, any balance will be forfeited and the card will be declined when presented for use.
If your card is reloadable and active, upon expiry any remaining balance is rolled over automatically to your new card. If a reloadable card has not had any purchase transactions for twelve months, the card account will be closed and any remaining balance will be forfeited.
No notice will be given of expiry or cancellation.
Your PIN
To make purchases with a Chip card, you need a PIN. When activating your card online, you will be prompted to set a PIN. You can change your PIN online at any time. Your PIN is not the same as your 4-digit authentication code.
Non-Chip cards do not have a PIN.
Where you can use the card
Physical cards can be used anywhere a Visa or Mastercard prepaid card is accepted. Virtual Cards can be used at online merchants that accept Mastercard prepaid cards.
If you have a problem with a purchase, you must contact the merchant and not Corporate Prepaid Cards. The merchant’s own policies in respect of refunds or returns will apply.
The card cannot be used for mail or telephone orders, for gambling transactions or, with the exclusion of some reloadable cards, at ATMs.
Corporate Prepaid Cards is in no way liable if the card is declined unless as a result of our wilful act or omission.
Checking your transaction history and balance
You are responsible for checking your transaction history and balance which you can do at any time by visiting www.universalgiftcard.com.au and entering the 16-digit card number and the 4-digit authentication code (not your PIN).
No cash advances or refunds
Your card cannot be used for cash advances, cannot be redeemed for cash and you cannot return the card for a refund. The card is not linked to a bank account or any similar account in your name.
Lost, stolen or damaged card
The card is to be treated as if it were cash. If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, you must contact us at info@universalgiftcard.com.au or phone 1300 128 219 immediately so that the card can be disabled. We accept no liability for any failure to authorise a purchase transaction (even if the balance exceeds the purchase amount at the time of the authorisation request) if this results from the application of prudent risk management tools or if the terminal or system was not working properly.
There are other limitations on our liability as set out in the Product Disclosure Statement provided to the entity funding your card.
